Abstract

The sociological approach to a historically based Mass Culture fiction cannot limit the content itself at telling the “truth” from “fiction”, but must strive at analyzing the historical context/ circumstances in which produces various versions of the same historical events/ facts have been concocted – something for which the “mediatic” portrayal of Roman History in Mass Culture offers itself as a ready case study.
