Abstract

This article is meant to understand the relation between two Brazilian literary texts from the beginning of 20th Century, the TV script Medéia (1972) from Oduvaldo Vianna Filho and Gota d’água (1975) from Chico Buarque & Paulo Pontes. Besides the relation between these two texts, this articles tries to enlighten the relation between them and the classical tragedy Medea. In order to achive this goal, we propose to understand the TV script Medéia as an inspiration to Gota d’água, considering the differences related to the development of mythos in which one of the texts and that they have a common inspiration: the legend of Medea, according to Euripides
