The present article aims to explore the ambiguous relations between the Italian cinema industry with the North American during the last years of fascism. This relation includes admiration, ocassionaly a critic of the values presented by those movies and the creation of a similar Italian star system. The research is centered in pages of the film magazines of the time as well as in the related bibiograph production of the theme.
