Abstract

Being part of a historical moment in which the greek literature, due to the birth of philosophy, begins to understand the man and the cosmos according to non-myhtical patterns, Xenophanes and Parmenides, with their poems, are not only part of the tradition that made this change possible, but also part of a movement that meant a whole new way of thinking in philosophy and in western culture, namely, the abstraction.
