A CONSTRUÇÃO DA REALIDADE PROLETÁRIA

In this paper we analyses the Russian realist painting made in the 1920’s. Starting with a discussion about the meaning of realism in 20th century we seek to situate the pictorial art in the post-revolutionary context, inquiring into the complex relationships between the cultural policy promoted by the government and the art made by several artists whose tenets were attuned to the new directives.
