Abstract

The five Brazilian bloggers Camila Coelho, Camila Coutinho, Helena Bordon, Lalá Rudge and Thássia Naves have produced photographic and audiovisual material about fashion and beauty, therefore have acquired the status of producers in the field of fashion. They participated of the cover a nd the content of the July 2013 edition. The cover image of “Glamour” magazine, number 16, has been analyzed here, taking into consideration its context of production and repercussions on the online environment. Through Peirce’s semiotics, using the methodology proposed by Lucia Santaella, and the François Dosse’s concept of event, we try to understand in what way the ‘Glamour Brazil’ magazine contributed to the manufacturing of the event, in that moment represented as rupture, when working with the “real women” images.
