O JOGO TEATRAL NO CONTEXTO DO DRAMA
Keywords:
Theatre games and drama, Meaning and Context, Spontaneity and conceptual knowledge, Theatre and Border Pedagogy.Abstract
This paper presents the historical development of an investigation of the possible interactions between the system of theatre games (Viola Spolin) and process drama. Special attention is given to the conceptualization and characterization of these theatre forms, and to their articulation with aspects of contemporary theatre. The way games and drama get closer or move away from each other are observed from the perspective of the relationship between meaning and context; acquisition of theatre language and conventions. As such, the interaction between spontaneity and conceptual knowledge is considered by looking at four key issues: objectivity, observable criteria, intention and intuition. The insertion of theatre games into drama practice is seen from the point of view of border pedagogy.
