Abstract

This article has as its goal to deepen the knowledge about music and dance trying to explain the possibilities of interaction that exist between these two fields. It is based on the updated literature on anthropology of dance, ethnomusicology, and also recent studies on neurology, which research about emotions and their impact in the human body. In the philosophical field, Spinoza, a rationalist thinker of the seventeenth century is summoned. All this analysis is based on a report of an informant who use to dance forró, a Brazilian dance music genre.
